The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the application form for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025 Session 1 soon. According to the official notification, the online registration process will begin in October 2025 on the official NTA website.

As per the announced schedule, JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be conducted from January 21 to 30, 2026, while Session 2 will take place from April 1 to 10, 2026.

In its recent notification, NTA shared detailed instructions for filling out the online application form. The agency stated:

“NTA will obtain candidates’ Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Photograph, and Address from UIDAI through Aadhaar authentication. However, as details such as Father’s, Mother’s, or Guardian’s name are not recorded in Aadhaar, candidates must enter them manually in the application form.”

To assist applicants facing discrepancies, the agency further clarified:

“In case of a mismatch between the candidate’s name on the Aadhaar card and the Class 10 educational certificate or marksheet, an option will be provided during the online application process to resolve the issue.”

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) serves as a national-level entrance test for admission to undergraduate engineering programs (BE/BTech) at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other participating institutions recognized by state governments. Candidates who qualify JEE Main Paper 1 become eligible to appear for JEE Advanced, the entrance exam for admission to IITs.
